“Delight” Autumn Sunflowers Abstract floral Collage Painting

“Delight” is my newest work celebrating the change of seasons where the days begin to shorten and the morning air is cool with warm sunny days. This abstract bouquet of sunflowers and cosmos was inspired by a recent trip to the farmers market in Washington DC while I was visiting my daughter. I have always loved sunflowers, they exude happiness, strength and resilience. This mixed media collage on canvas was created largely with hand dyed rice paper, their transparency giving a watercolor like feel to the piece. Lots of beautiful layers and texture in this one! 

Sides are painted and comes wired and ready to hang!
